  • The first step to financial success…

It’s been a bit of a gloomy rainy day in my neck of the woods today.

Also, it’s a wee bit cold as well.

I came across an interesting section in “Magic Words That Bring You Riches”.

A classic book by Ted Nicholas.

Ted says that the first step to financial success is a saleable product.

And that before you can begin to build any income you first must have a product to sell.

Now I try to do a hybrid of selling my own products and affiliate marketing.

(It’s the best of both worlds.)

Ted goes on to say that there are two ways to get a product.

    Develop it from scratch.
Acquire the rights to sell a product.

I’ve done both myself. And the second option I found is by far the easiest of the two.

Although now it’s a lot easier with the help of AI to create your own products.

Ted says that most entrepreneurs develop a product from scratch. And often without a well-defined market.

Then they ask themselves, “How can I sell it?”

Which most of the time leads to failure…

The main role of an effective marketer is to find what people want and just give it to them.

If you market a product that’s already selling, you are benefiting from someone else’s market research.

Customers have demonstrated they want it through paid orders.

According to Ted, that’s why the most direct way to business success is to obtain the right to sell a proven product.

So that’s why you should check that any product you want to buy the resell options to has already made sales.

  • I got 1.3k Facebook followers in 24 hours

Have you ever applied to be an affiliate and asked how many followers you have?

On some of the affiliate platforms such as Impact, you can get asked this when signing up to promote a product.

I did when I applied to be a Canva affiliate…

But what happens if you have a brand-spanking new Facebook page with ZERO followers?

That you want to use for your affiliate marketing.

This method I’m about to share with you and that l learned from another marketer.

Will get you from 0 to 1000 followers + in a matter of 24 hours or so.

(You want to aim for 1000 followers but the more the better.)

This will help you get massive authority, from people seeing your page to potential affiliates or affiliate managers.

It gives you an authority on the Facebook advertising platform.

They won’t see you as a newbie or at least the algorithms won’t.

And like I said previously this will help you when signing up to certain affiliate platforms.

For this, you will need a Facebook Ads account and about $15.

You set up an ad using a simple cute photo of kittens or pups – kittens seem to work the best.

With the words “Like cats?” Click here.

This is to get page likes or engagement.

So when setting the campaign up make sure to select engagement.

This should then give you a description saying something like “Page likes.”

As for the countries, there were just two, I targeted.

    1. India

    2. Africa

Targeting such countries as these brings the cost of the Facebook ad right down.

This means you’d only be paying between $5 – $15 give or take. To get 1,000 plus Facebook followers/likes.

I did this for a page I setup in the energy niche and within 24 hours I went from ZERO to 1.3k Facebook followers.

    For about $15.

The photo you can get from a free image site or Canva, which I did.

  • Simple 6-step checklist I use to write emails

Over the weekend I decided to get the front and back gardens mowed.

The grass started to get quite long with all the rain and sunshine we’ve had recently. Lol.

    A few months ago.

I enrolled in an email marketing course and after going through this, I created a simple checklist I use when writing emails.

So, I thought I’d share that with you today.

Hopefully, you’ll find it useful as I do.

    Below is the 6-step checklist.

    1. Before you start to write your email ask yourself… “What would I say to someone in this email?” “How would I tell the story and just write naturally?”

    2. Subject lines – write multiple ones for each email and choose one you like the best. The best structure to follow is curiosity and benefit.

    3. Story/Lead – Use time, place and tension. When it happened. Where it happened. What happened?

    4. Segue – This is where you transition from the email to the call to action (CTA) for example “Why am I telling you this?”

    5. Write the email out in one go DON’T edit while writing. Editing, while you’re writing out slows you down a lot.

    6. Focus on ONE thing. Keep your email focused on one thing at least when first learning to write emails.

    Have a great day.

  • I used AI to create a simple eCourse

Quite a few months back now I decided to create an eCourse.
    For beginners in email marketing.

    I used two free tools.

One is for the opt-in page, and the other is to create the Course.

Below is a screenshot of the opt-in page created using Systeme.io.

I created the eCourse using the free version of ChatGPT.

Uploaded the email to Systeme in an email campaign, and also created what’s known as a subdomain.

Now the subdomain part is NOT necessary it was something I was testing out.

(If you don’t know what this is then do a quick Google search.)

And I did YouTube videos linking to the opt-in page.

And then left it and checked a few months later to find that I had a few subscribers.

I created the eCourse by entering this prompt into ChatGPT :

“Please create me a 7-Day Email Marketing Course for beginners in email marketing which Is to be delivered by email for new subscribers.”

After a couple of iterations, I got a good eCourse.

I’ve gone through this procedure today and it’s remarkable the improvement in the output since the last time I did this.

As you see there’s NO reason why you can’t start building an email list for free.

  • Why ONE lead magnet may not be enough

I’ve just watched a video from one of Frank Kern’s trainings.

In this video, Frank talks about creating four or five lead magnets.

(Money magnets as he calls them.)

    To solve a specific problem.

Frank goes on to say that what people fail to realize is that usually, the problem is a symptom of about 4 or more underlying conditions.

An example Frank gives is Low sales.

Low sales are usually the symptom of all or a few underlying conditions such as:

    ✅ Low traffic
    ✅ Bad conversion
    ✅ Bad selling process
    ✅ Bad funnel
    ✅ Etc

Each of your lead magnets should solve a specific underlying problem… that is causing the major symptom.

Which will give you instant specialization in the positioning.

And because you’re helping them and providing the knowledge to them. Also positions you as an authority instantly.

Some experts recommend businesses having 15 or more lead magnets…

Now I’m not sure about that myself.

But I do think you should have more than ONE lead magnet.

    Having different lead magnets…

…allows you to cater to people who are in different stages of their online journey.

Either way, you need to make sure you have a plan for both creating your lead magnets and for your email marketing.

  • Some email marketing automations I’m working on

It’s been another scorcher of a day here in Notts today.

Hitting a lovely 24 degrees, I’m typing this email sitting in my back garden enjoying the sun.

    While it lasts, lol.

And sipping a nice cuppa tea…

One of the biggest things you can do to speed up your email marketing is adding automation.

And I’ve been going through some email automation training I have.

Along with spending some time checking a few of the automations’ I’ve set up in Kit.

Seeing how well the emails are converting. And how well the rules that I’ve applied are working.

Some of the automations I currently have in place are:

✅ 30-day follow-up sequence for my new lead magnet.
✅ Rules to add various tags to subscribers when they click on a link
✅ Abandon cart emails (working on adding all these to my products.)

There’s also a re-engagement automation I’ve set up for subscribers who have gone cold…

(That is subscribers who haven’t engaged with your emails in a while.)

Which requires some editing to make it better.

But the idea of this is after a set period of inactivity a subscriber will get added to this automation automatically.

And if a link has not been clicked then after several days or so the subscriber will then be automatically unsubscribed.

And this will be fully automated…

it’ll check every 90 days or so if the subscriber has gone cold and automatically add them to the automation.

Saving a HUGE amount of time having to check manually.

If you not using automation in your email marketing, then you should seriously consider it… it’s a BIG time saver.

    Still not convinced?

Here are some stats pulled from Google:

In 2025, email marketing remains a powerful and effective channel, with an expected global user base of 4.6 billion.

Email marketing boasts a high ROI, with an estimated return of $36 for every $1 spent.

Automated emails, in particular, show significant engagement metrics, with higher open rates and click-through rates compared to traditional campaigns.

Now let’s talk about email list building…

  • A simple way to start building your email list

I was looking through some of my Facebook messages today…

From people who’ve sent me a friend request.

I accepted this particular person’s friend request and checked out their profile.

On their profile, they linked to an opt-in page.

This person built a simple opt-in page (below) using Systeme.io.

Curious, I opted in to see how this person was building their list.

And once I opted in, I was then taken straight to a free front-end offer of an affiliate offer.

A free video training that you had to sign up for to access.

From what I can tell, he’s making simple posts daily on Facebook. Although he did make a post on how much traffic he got from YouTube.

So you see, it’s extremely easy to start building an email list.

Find a suitable affiliate offer from, say, ClickBank that offers a free front-end lead magnet of some sort.

(Check the affiliate section for these, I’ve found a few in the past.)

Create an opt-in page using something like the free version of Systeme.io that you can also use for sending emails and more.

As you can see by the example above it doesn’t have to be anything great. Simple is often better.

Create a 3–5-day follow-up email sequence for when anyone subscribes.

Write a daily email and post it on Facebook…

(While also building up your friends list.)

What’s that, you haven’t got an email list?

    No problemo…

Open a Google Doc and write out an email as though you have an email to send it to.

Then copy and paste it to Facebook, make sure to have a link in your profile to your opt-in page.

    This will do two things.

    1. Improve your email copy

    2. Get your first couple of subscribers

    Will this work? Sure.

But DON’T expect a flood of traffic, but rather a trickle.

And for the past two months or so, I’ve been doing just that…

You could, of course, turn that email into a video and post it on YouTube and a couple of other social media channels.

To help speed this up a bit.

Not that I’ve turned any of my emails into videos.

Or even do a run of solo or Facebook ads to speed up the process of getting subscribers.

If you’re going to this totally organic, then you’re going to need a lot of patience… NOT something I’ve got, lol.

    Anyway…

Have you taken a gander at Tony Shepherd’s Flipping The Switch Course yet?

Once you start building you email list you need to build the know, like and trust factor in your email marketing.

And that’s where Tony Shepherd’s course may be able to help.

That could take you to four or five figures a month.

A method for creating a unique ‘Trust Ecosystem’ that Tony uses to get prospects to buy from him again and again.

Tony will go into mindset and attitude which is a massive part of finding success with your online business.

He’ll look at how to break free from the mindset limitations you probably don’t even know you have (life-changing stuff) and how to acquire and keep a million dollar mindset even if you ‘only’ choose to earn five figures a month part-time.

Sharing secrets ( and Tony does think they genuinely ARE secrets) that he’s learned about copywriting, conversions, traffic, formulas for generating money on demand, how to produce ‘pay the bills’ cash to take the pressure off while you concentrate on making big money.

  • Creating a lead magnet? Do this first.

It’s been a sunny 11 degrees here in Notts today…

Although a wee bit windy, according to the weather app, it felt like 5 degrees.

I was listening to an audio training from Dan Kennedy for a little while when I was reminded of a lesson I learned a few years ago.

The lesson is from direct response marketing.

    And it’s simply this…

Create the marketing for the product before you create the product.

Whether that’s an ad, a sales page or even an opt-in page.

Most people do this backward and create their product first.

Limiting themselves to the product and having no idea if it is what the market wants.

Leaving themselves stuck with a product they can’t sell.

And the same goes for lead magnets.

Once you’ve done the market research and you’ve found out what people in your market want.

And their problems and pain points…

You can then come up with some ideas for a lead magnet that solves that ONE problem.

Create an outline of the lead magnet and list out possible names for the lead magnet.

Along with the benefits and objections, consider what format the lead magnet will be in, and how you’ll create the content for it.

Then figure out how you will be creating your lead magnet.

Will you be using your own knowledge, research, or both, etc.

This will then give you the copy for your offer to put on the opt-in page.

Once you have these, then create the opt-in page and image or eCover for your lead magnet.

When I first created my 17 Rapid Side Hustles lead magnet, I only had an image representing the lead magnet…

  • How to come up with killer lead magnet titles

It’s been a bit of a miserable day here in Notts, weather-wise that is.

Something that’s often overlooked when creating a lead magnet is the actual title.

In the book Magnetic Marketing by Dan Kennedy.

Dan emphasizes the importance of having a powerful title.

“He goes on to say the title of your lead magnet is like a headline, it has to interest people enough to want it, then motivate them to consume it when they get it.”

You need to take the time to create a really powerful title.

Where do you find great titles?

By looking at the covers of magazines or tabloids such as:

    ✅ The Enquirer
    ✅ Cosmopolitan
    ✅ Readers Digest
    ✅ And others

The headlines have to sell those magazines off the rack.

What we’re doing here is looking at the structure of the headlines that we can model.

A simple trick you can do is to search for a magazine and then click on the ‘Images’ tab, which will bring up lots of cover images.

(You could create a swipe file of magazine covers for possible title ideas.)

You can also get some great ideas from Amazon by looking in the book section at both the book and chapter titles.

And finally, you can also try using AI to give you some ideas

It’s a good idea to brainstorm ten titles for your lead magnet and then choose the one you think is best.

  • I used AI and got these lead magnet ideas

Although I don’t like using AI to write my emails, I do like using it to create outlines for products and generate ideas.

In a previous email, I talked about how to create a self-liquidating funnel for ads.

Running ads to a lead magnet and then making an offer on the thank you page.

With an order bump on the checkout page.

    And then an upsell.

I’ve been using AI today to give me ideas for a lead magnet that I could use to create a self-liquating funnel.

    (To use for Facebook ads.)

I entered the below in the ChatGPT prompt.

“Can you please give me lead magnet ideas for a front-end product I have below:

Front-end Product: Niche Goldmine – a resource list of 147 profitable niches that includes the following:

    ✅ 147 various niches

✅ List of websites and blogs in that niche

✅ Products sold in that niche

✅ Comes in PDF and Excel format

✅ Includes the bonus Ultimate Niche Finder that shows you how to find a profitable niche without the need for keyword research.”

ChatGPT spat a couple of ideas listed below…

Here are some lead magnet ideas tailored to your Niche Goldmine front-end product:

    Niche Starter Guide (PDF)

Title: “5 Steps to Pick a Profitable Niche in 30 Minutes (Even If You’re a Total Beginner)”

What’s Inside: A quick guide explaining how to select a niche, validate its profitability, and brainstorm content ideas.

Why it works: It warms people up to the idea that choosing the right niche is essential — making your Niche Goldmine an irresistible upgrade.

    Niche Validation Checklist

Title: “The Ultimate 10-Point Niche Profitability Checklist”

What’s Inside: A printable PDF checklist. Walking them through the steps of verifying a niche’s potential. Audience size, competition, monetization opportunities, etc.

Why it works: It makes the “niche selection” process feel foolproof. While your product delivers a shortcut with done-for-you niche lists.

“Hidden Niche Profits” Video Training (10-15 minutes)

Title: “How to Spot Undiscovered, Low-Competition Niches with High-Profit Potential”

What’s Inside: A quick training on recognizing overlooked niche markets. Positioning your audience to crave the full 147-niche resource.

Why it works: People love the idea of “secret niches” — this primes them to want more.

Although I’m using my product you can do this for a white label/ PLR product.

I like the idea of number two the checklist.

So, I asked ChatGPT to expand on this giving me some suggestions for possible headlines.

    Headline Ideas:

“Is Your Niche Profitable? Use This 10-Point Checklist to Find Out Fast!”

“The Niche Validation Checklist: Avoid Wasting Time on Dead-End Niches”

“Before You Pick a Niche: Validate It with This Proven 10-Step System”

Some pretty cool stuff there we can do with ChatGPT.
