I was looking through some emails to get ideas for what to write for an email.

Sometimes I like to do this.

And I was reading an email from an affiliate marketer who talked about how hard it is to find a decent product to promote.

(Warrior Plus being his preferred place.)

And I must agree it is.

Like me, he likes to buy them to go through before promoting…

but like the marketer says:

“There are a lot of products launched each day and buying them all is impossible.”

Every year this marketer researches the best evergreen products selling on Warrior Plus and JVZoo then narrows his list down to the best of the best.

Creating a master list that they then sell to their list.

The list consists of products that have been launched already for a few months and have proven to convert.

A great idea for a low budget product, don’t you think?

You know it’s going to be in demand and will sell.

And obviously it does if they’re doing this every year!

What’s also interesting is they’re selling this just through email with a link to their PayPal. That then redirects to a Google sheet.

Keeping it all nice and simple.

Now the question to ask yourself is this…

Do you think you could do this?

(Though if you were to do it exactly like this, you’d need an email list to sell to.)

But you know what?

There’s a marketing lesson hidden within that joke.

(And is one of the things that stop a lot of people from seeing any success online.)

There are many quotes on perfectionism and one I like is:

One thing to think about if you feel everything must be perfect before you get it out there…

It’s far easier to make a decision right than to make the right decision.

Perfection is what stops most people from moving forward.

Many people suffer from perfection syndrome – they have something they’re working on maybe a product, lead magnet, etc. and it’s not quite ready to be released.

(I’ve even suffered from this.)

It either needs more tweaking or there’s something not quite right with it and what do you think happens?

They never end up releasing that product because it isn’t quite right. Or it’s put on hold while they start working on something else that comes along…

…I’ve been there!

I was just flipping through a book I bought sometime last year…

The Psychology Of Selling by Brian Tracy.

And I must admit it isn’t a bad read.

There’s an interesting part in the first chapter that talks about what determines a person’s income.

It mentions how psychologists have found that “you can never earn 10% more or less than your self-concept level of income.”

If you earn more than what you’re used to getting, you immediately start doing things to get rid of the money till it’s back down to what you used to.

If you get less than what you’re used to, immediately you’ll start to think of things to get your income back up to your comfort zone. Working harder, longer hours, etc.

And once you’re back up to that comfort zone you’ll ease off and just relax.

For years I did this, I got jobs at a certain level of income, and I couldn’t seem to earn any higher.

Then one day I read an article where it mentioned that if you want to earn more money set the amount you want to earn in your mind.

(It can’t be too big of a jump from what you’re already earning.)

So, I thought I’d try it when applying for my next job.

Surprisingly I did get the job I wanted and at that level of income and also subsequent jobs after.

It’s said the most common reason people fail to make money online is due to their mindset.

If you want to increase your income, then you first need to achieve this in your mind before you do it in reality… Belief is a strong thing but goes in hand with action.

A worthwhile question to ask your if you’re struggling to make money online…

Is my mindset preventing me from making money online?

You WILL experience failure and fear especially when it’s something new.

That’s where you’ll need persistence, especially when you feel like you’re getting nowhere.

Brian Tracy mentions how he came across the effects of mindset on income during his sales career and how some guys couldn’t pass a certain level of sales, while others had no problem.

A couple of years ago now…

me and the wife were asleep in bed, it was about 4:25 in the morning when my wife’s phone suddenly started to ring.

Startled she answered the phone.

No reply…

Puzzled she looked at the number that came up on her phone.

Still half asleep she’d thought it was our son (then 12), and at that time he’d sometimes get up late at night and go downstairs to watch TV.

(Our son’s autistic and has ADHD and at the time the meds he was on to help him sleep didn’t work that great.)

I had already awoken by this time when she said, “our son’s calling from you’re mobile.”

At that point, I’d picked my mobile up and had it in my hand, looking a bit pale my wife said to me …

“Your number just came up on my phone!”

I checked the call log of my mobile and indeed it showed that a call had been made from my mobile at 4:25am.

Talk about spooooky…

… I must admit I was completely baffled.

The phone was right next to me and still locked so how the hell did my mobile ring my wife’s?

 That was it my wife couldn’t get back to sleep for the rest of the night.

I on the other hand quickly went back to the land of nod.

True story,
